Homeowners have the right to appeal any violation or fine issued by the association. The appeal process allows you to explain your situation, provide supporting documentation, and request a review by the Board of Directors. This ensures that all enforcement actions are handled fairly and transparently.
When to Appeal
You may appeal a violation or fine if:
You believe the violation was issued in error.
You have corrected the issue but the notice remains active.
You need additional time due to weather, contractor delays, or other valid reasons.
You disagree with the fine amount or the circumstances of enforcement.
Appeals must be submitted within the timeframe listed in your violation or fine notice, typically within 10 to 15 days of the notice date.
How to Submit an Appeal
Prepare a written appeal including:
Your full name and property address
The violation reference or notice number
A detailed explanation of your appeal
Any photos, receipts, or documentation that support your case

The Property Support Team will forward your appeal to the Board of Directors for review and notify you of any scheduled hearing dates.
You can also submit your appeal directly through your PayHOA homeowner portal by replying to the violation notice thread.
The Hearing Process
If a hearing is scheduled:
You will receive advance notice of the date and time.
Hearings may be held virtually or in person depending on Board preference.
You will have the opportunity to explain your case and present supporting evidence.
The Board will deliberate privately and provide a written decision afterward.
Decisions are final unless new evidence arises that materially affects the outcome.
After the Hearing
Once reviewed, the Board may:
Uphold the original violation or fine
Modify or reduce the fine
Dismiss the violation entirely
A written decision will be sent to you and recorded in your PayHOA portal for your records.
